Remember when?!

REMEMBER WHEN
Remember when you decided to try Crossfit?
Then remember the first day you actually tried CrossFit? (Probably months later)
The anticipation, the expectations the butterflies in your stomach. All the things you love and hate about new experiences.
Of course you showed up early. Not just on time but early. You sat waiting for someone to tell you what to do. You watched all the existing members come in and chat it up like one big family. The coach put class through a warmup. You did every last rep of every exercise. Then the class gathered around the whiteboard to go over the wod. You asked the coach what weight you should use, how you should scale the workout, you asked for help remembering a certain move. You looked to the coach for guidance. During the workout the coach stopped you several times to go over technique and form of whatever move was in the wod that day, you were grateful for the attention. You looked around in awe of the feats the other members were accomplishing. You started setting small goals for yourself, baby steps. You hung on every word the coach said, you hung on to every encouraging word a member said to you. You finished close to last but were so encouraged because everyone that finished before you cheered you on. Then when you were done you cheered for the last people to finish. It was GREAT! You left feeling humbled, you left feeling like you’d accomplished something, you left knowing you had so much room to grow, so many things to learn. It was exhilarating!!!!!
Fast forward 6 months, a year, three years.
How does your class experience differ today?
